During the World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris, on 6 November 2025, 17 national and international nuclear industry federations, including the Belgian Nuclear Forum for Belgium, signed a joint declaration issued in the context of the COP30 climate summit, which clearly calls on policymakers and other stakeholders to embrace nuclear energy as part of the solution for achieving climate goals.

With this coalition, led by GIFEN and coordinated by the World Nuclear Association (WNA), we call on policymakers and stakeholders to reaffirm their earlier commitment to triple global nuclear capacity by 2050. This enormous but technically feasible expansion of nuclear capacity is essential to meet our climate goals and ensure universal access to reliable, low-carbon, and affordable energy.
